SLLIMM-Nano 3-Phase IGBT Inverter Bridges

STMicroelectronics SLLIMM-Nano 3-Phase IGBT Inverter Bridges combine a compact, high-performance AC motor drive into a simple, rugged design. The bridges are composed of six IGBTs with freewheeling diodes and three half-bridge HVICs for gate driving. This provides low electromagnetic interference (EMI) characteristics with optimized switching speed. The packages are optimized for thermal performance and compactness for built-in motor applications or other low power applications with limited assembly space. Typical applications for STMicroelectronics SLLIMM-Nano bridges include 3-phase inverters for motor drives, dishwashers, refrigerator compressors, heating systems, air-conditioning fans, and draining and recirculation pumps.

STMicroelectronics STGIPQ8C60T SLLIMM™ Nano 2^nd Series Intelligent Power Modules (IPM) are designed to permit a better and easy screw-on heatsink. These IPMs provide a compact, high-performance AC motor drive in a simple, and rugged design. The Small Low-Loss Intelligent Molded Module (SLLIMM) nano series IPM includes an operational amplifier for advanced current sensing and a comparator for fault protection against overcurrent. Typical applications include 3-phase inverters for motor drives, draining and recirculation pumps, heating systems, and air-conditioning fans.

SLLIMM Nano Modules for FOC Motor Control

STMicroelectronics SLLIMM Nano Modules for FOC Motor Control offer field-oriented control (FOC) or vector control. FOC is a technique for variable frequency control of the stator in a three-phase AC induction motor drive using two orthogonal components. One defines the magnetic flux generated by the stator, while the other corresponds to the torque as determined by the speed of the motor determined by the rotor position. STMicroelectronics offers an entire range of power semiconductors and ICs, including discrete IGBTs and power MOSFETs. They also offer power modules and intelligent power modules (IPM), high-voltage gate drivers, and powerful STM32 microcontrollers needed to implement high-efficiency variable-frequency drive (VFD) motor control.
