Panasonic Electronic Components ECW Metallized Plastic Film Capacitors

Panasonic Electronic Components ECW series Metallized Plastic Film Capacitors are small, low loss polypropylene capacitors with excellent frequency characteristics and low hum. The capacitors are available in 250VDC, 450VDC, and 630VDC, and 800VDC with a capacitance range from 0.1µF to 6.8µF (250VDC, 450VDC, and 630VDC), and from 0.010µF to 0.047µF (800VDC). Applications for the ECW series include Lighting Control, Inverter Circuits, Active Filter Circuits, Snubber Circuits, High Frequency, and High Current Circuits.

High Frequency & Current

ECW-F(D) 450VDC: Polypropylene Film Capacitors are designed for DC applications that do not require a significant amount of pulse current, and for power factor correction and residential electronics applications. The built-in fuse function, combined with the small case size, make them appropriate for any application requiring DC linkage.

ECW-F(A) features Panasonic's new safety construction for increased capacitor safety. This patterned metallization technology allows current to flow past a failed point bypassing failed cells and therefore increasing capacitor safety. The ECW-F(A) Series miniaturized footprint is the choice for application downsizing where smaller case sizes are required. ECW-F(A) is more than 50% smaller than the ECQ-E(H) and ECW-F(S) Series. Features Panasonic's safety construction technology.

ECW-F(E) Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitors are designed for active filter circuits, high-frequency, high-current circuits. The capacitors feature excellent frequency characteristics and flame-retardant epoxy resin coating, resulting in high moisture resistance (85C/85% [630V]).

High Frequency & Pulse

ECW-H(C) Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitors offer very high dV/dt values in the range of up to 2000 volts per microsecond, which allows them to withstand very high levels of stress. The ECWH(C) series from Panasonic offers excellent electrical characteristics for general resonance circuit applications and has expanded its voltage offering from 630VDC to 1250VDC and 3000VDC. This series is highly recommended for general resonance circuits and microwave oven/infrared heat (IH) cooker resonance circuits.

ECW-H(A) 800VDC: The best solution for resonance-type power supply applications. ECW-H(A) is a radial leaded film capacitor with the perfect combination of high ripple current capability (3.78 Arms @ 100kHz) and small size - (L) 15.7mm x (T) 9.7mm x (H) 14.1mm max -- with lead spacing of 12.5mm.

Automotive

ECW-FG Automotive Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitors are AEC-Q200 compliant and feature non-inductive, metallized polypropylene film construction with a flame-retardant plastic case. ECW-FG series is rated for 85°C and 85% relative humidity and tested for 1000 hours. These Panasonic film capacitors are designed for DC/DC and AC/DC converter circuits in electrical vehicles (xEV) and high frequency, high current circuits.
