TinyCircuits TinyDuino Processor Board
TinyCircuits TinyDuino Processor Board is designed as a miniature, low-power version of the Arduino Uno board. The TinyDuino Processor Board is approximately the size of a quarter and uses the same Atmega328P microcontroller as the Arduino Uno. In addition, TinyDuino supports all of the same shield signals as the Arduino Uno. Therefore, the TinyDuino Processor Board supports 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs) and 6 analog inputs.
The one functional difference between the TinyDuino Processor Board and the Arduino Uno is the ceramic resonator. The TinyDuino Processor Board uses an 8MHz ceramic resonator, while the Arduino Uno uses a 16MHz resonator. The 8MHz ceramic resonator enables the TinyDuino processor board to operate down to 2.7V. With this low voltage operation, the TinyDuino Processor Board can run directly off of batteries such as Li-ion and coin cells.
To achieve an ultra-compact design, TinyDuino Processor Board only includes the core processor circuitry. The TinyDuino Processor Board can be used with the TinyShield Expansion Boards to add special functions to TinyDuino projects. By plugging the boards together, designers can create a custom TinyDuino Stack to meet the requirements of their particular project.
